PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE ("AGREEMENT" OR "TERMS OF SERVICE") CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE SERVICES OFFERED BY PROJECT EDITOR. THIS AGREEMENT SETS FORTH THE LEGALLY BINDING TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR YOUR USE OF THE PROJECT EDITOR WEBSITE AND ALL RELATED SERVICES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY FEATURES, CONTENT, WEBSITES (INCLUDING PROJECTEDITOR.IO) OR APPLICATIONS OFFERED FROM TIME TO TIME BY SYNTROPICON IN CONNECTION THEREWITH (COLLECTIVELY "SERVICE(S)"). BY USING THE SERVICES IN ANY MANNER, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT.

Welcome to Scopes. If you do not agree to this Agreement, do not use the Services.
Personal data processing is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Scopes, you also acknowledge that Privacy Policy.
To use Scopes, you must register for an account. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration information.
You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account, and for any activities that occur under your account. We may require email verification before granting full access.
Scopes is a browser-based project management platform for construction and engineering teams. It provides task scheduling, Gantt chart visualisation, resource and cost tracking, finance views, workspace collaboration, and an AI assistant. The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that schedules, cost estimates, or other outputs will meet your project's design, safety, regulatory, or contractual requirements. Performance and accuracy risk regarding platform use and outputs rests with you.
Scopes is not a licensed architect, engineer, quantity surveyor, or project manager and does not provide professional advice. Outputs—including schedules, cost summaries, and AI-generated suggestions—are decision-support aids only and do not replace your professional judgment. You remain responsible for verifying all outputs before use in design, procurement, construction, site work, or submissions to authorities.
You retain all ownership rights to the project data, files, and content you upload or create in Scopes.
By storing or importing data into Scopes, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license solely to host, process, display, and back up that data as necessary to provide the Services to you and, where applicable, to other members of your workspace.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses and permissions to upload, import, and process your project data, and that sharing it with workspace members or AI providers (when you use those features) is permitted.
How we handle your data:
Scopes organises work in workspaces. Workspace owners control membership and can delete the workspace and all projects within it. Members may access projects according to their role and permissions.
You are responsible for ensuring that workspace members you invite are authorised to access the project data shared in that workspace. We are not responsible for disputes between workspace members regarding access or use of shared data.
Scopes integrates with third-party services to deliver the Services, including Google for sign-in, Google Analytics (with your consent), and third-party AI providers for the in-app assistant.
You are responsible for compliance with any third-party terms of service. Scopes is not affiliated with third-party providers and does not control their services.
Third-party integrations may be interrupted, modified, discontinued, or subject to usage limits beyond our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or continued availability of any third-party integration.
We reserve the right to rate-limit excessive requests, suspend access, or terminate accounts if we suspect abuse, circumvention, or excessive load on the platform.
You agree not to:
Scopes is currently offered on a free tier with access to core features, including unlimited projects, subject to change with notice.
We may introduce paid subscription tiers (such as Pro or Enterprise) in the future. Paid tiers may add or change features, collaboration options, and support levels. Any paid terms will be presented to you separately before you are charged.
You retain ownership of your project data and outputs generated from your data, subject to third-party rights in the underlying content.
Scopes and its operator retain all rights in the platform, software, branding, documentation, and default configurations. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the platform as described here.
The platform and all features are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. See Section 3 for the nature of the service and your verification obligations.
10.1 Exclusion of warranties. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PROJECT EDITOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM OR ANY OUTPUT (INCLUDING SCHEDULES, GANTT CHARTS, COST ESTIMATES, OR AI-GENERATED SUGGESTIONS) WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC CONSTRUCTION OR ENGINEERING PROJECT.
10.2 Professional outputs. THE OUTPUTS ARE AIDS, NOT PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING, ARCHITECTURAL, QUANTITY-SURVEYING, OR PROJECT-MANAGEMENT ADVICE. YOU MUST INDEPENDENTLY REVIEW, VALIDATE, AND SIGN OFF ON ALL OUTPUTS BEFORE USING THEM IN PROFESSIONAL WORK, SUBMISSIONS TO AUTHORITIES, OR ON-SITE IMPLEMENTATION. PROJECT EDITOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT OUTPUTS COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE BUILDING CODES, STANDARDS, OR PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS.
10.3 AI assistant. AI-GENERATED RESPONSES MAY BE INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE, OR OUTDATED. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING AND VERIFYING ANY AI OUTPUT BEFORE ACTING ON IT.
11.1 No indirect damages. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROJECT EDITOR AND SYNTROPICON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS OR REVENUE, PROJECT DELAYS OR COST OVERRUNS, LOST OR CORRUPTED PROJECT DATA, REWORK OR RE-SCHEDULING COSTS, SITE ERRORS, OR THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON PLATFORM OUTPUTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
11.2 Liability cap. IF PROJECT EDITOR IS FOUND LIABLE FOR DIRECT DAMAGES NOT EXCLUDED ABOVE, TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO PROJECT EDITOR FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR (B) ONE HUNDRED EUROS (€100).
11.3 Mandatory rights. Nothing in this Section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, willful misconduct, or any mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Syntropicon Technologies Unipessoal Lda ("Syntropicon"), operating the Scopes brand, from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (i) your use of the platform or reliance on its outputs; (ii) your breach of these Terms or applicable law; (iii) your upload, import, or sharing of project data without proper authorization; or (iv) your violation of third-party terms.
You may stop using the platform at any time and may delete your account via Account Settings. Deleting your account removes workspaces you own and all associated project data.
We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, abuse, operational reasons, or legal compliance.
Upon termination, your right to use the platform ends. We recommend exporting project data before closing your account.
We may update these Terms by posting a new version with an updated effective date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, 30 days via email or in-app notice) before the new version takes effect.
Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. The courts of Porto shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Syntropicon Technologies Unipessoal Lda ("Syntropicon") regarding use of Scopes.
